African Earth Jurisprudence Collective
The spark of intent for the African Earth Jurisprudence Collective came from a small group of individuals from diverse organisations and initiatives, dedicated to reviving myriad cultures and landscapes across the African continent.
The structure is light, led by a Council who are ‘elders’ on this path. The administrative heart for the Collective is held by EarthLore Foundation and The Gaia Foundation.
EarthLore Foundation: Accompanying rural communities in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Society for Alternative Learning and Transformation (SALT): Accompanying clans in The Land of the Bees: traditional Tharakan territory along the foothills of Mount Kenya.
The Gaia Foundation: Reviving biocultural diversity for four decades, alongside Earth’s best custodians.
Groupe Recherche pour la recherche sur le Bien-Etre (GRABE-Benin): Accompanying communities across Benin.
African Institute for Culture and Ecology (AFRICE): Accompanying Indigenous communities around the Great Lakes in Uganda.
Siama: Exploring Indigeneity, rooted in African cosmology.
